Nalbuphine HCl Injection 20mg

Injections of Nalbuphine HCl Injection are used to treat moderate to severe pain. It can also be administered both before and after surgery or in conjunction with general anesthesia. Additionally, it can be used to lessen pain during childbirth. Nalbuphine is a member of the class of drugs known as narcotic analgesics (pain medicines).

The drug nalbuphine injection belongs to the group of drugs known as opioid agonist-antagonists. It functions by altering how the body perceives pain.

There are nalbuphine uses that are not FDA-approved, including the management of labor pain, the treatment of opioid-induced urine retention, the treatment of opioid-induced respiratory depression, and the treatment of opioid-induced pruritus.

Nalbuphine has a 5-hour plasma half-life, and clinical investigations have shown that the analgesic effect lasts for anywhere between 3 and 6 hours.

It shares chemical similarities with both the strong opioid agonist oxymorphone and the opioid antagonist naloxone. 17-(cyclobutylmethyl)-4,5-epoxymorphinan-3,6-14-triol hydrochloride is the chemical name for nalbuphine.

When combined with other opioids or CNS depressants, NUBAIN use has the potential to cause serious, deadly, or life-threatening respiratory depression. Keep an eye out for respiratory depression, especially first starting NUBAIN or after increasing the dose [see WARNINGS].

A typical pain reliever used to treat aches and pains is paracetamol. Additionally, it can be utilized to lower a high temperature. It is offered in combination with other narcotics and anti-sickness medications. It is also a component of many different antiviral medications.
