What is the purpose of Meropenem Injection 1g?

Meropenem Injection 1g are used to treat bacterial infections. It works by either getting rid of the bacteria or stopping their growth. This drug cannot be used to treat viral illnesses like the flu, colds, or the common cold. This drug should only be given by your doctor or a direct employee of theirs.

How is Meromac administered?

What is a safe dose of Meropenem Injection 1g?

For skin and skin structure infections, the recommended dosage of Meropenem for Injection, USP is 500 mg administered every 8 hours, and for intra-abdominal infections, 1 gramme administered every 8 hours. One gramme every eight hours is advised when treating P. aeruginosa-related complex skin and skin structure infections.

When is Meropenem Injection 1g administered?

Streptococcus pneumoniae should be treated for 10 to 14 days, Neisseria meningitidis and Haemophilus influenzae for 7 days, and gram-negative bacilli for at least 3 weeks. There aren’t many data; 40 mg/kg/dose IV every 8 or 12 hours is the most often reported dosage.
