Chlorambucil 5mg Tablet

Chlorambucil 5mg is a drug that is used to treat a kind of CLL called chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL; a type of cancer of the white blood cells). Non-lymphoma Hodgkin’s (NHL) and Hodgkin’s disease are also treated with chlorambucil (types of cancer that begin in certain white blood cells that normally fight infection).

Your doctor will determine the length of treatment based on your condition. Chlorambucil is taken orally and should be taken on an empty stomach every day (at least one hour before meals or three hours after meals). With a glass of water, swallow your tablets whole. The tablets should not be broken, crushed, or chewed. 

The full effects of this medication can take a few weeks to appear, although adverse effects can happen right away. After a few days, you should see gradual improvements.

• Blisters and skin peeling
• Sores that hurt.
• Hives or skin welts itching
• Fever, as well as swelling of the tongue and throat.
