What is Rasburicase Injection used for?
Rasburicase injection is used to treat persons with certain forms of cancer who are being treated with chemotherapy drugs and have high levels of uric acid (a natural chemical that builds up in the blood as tumours break down). Rasbelon injection belongs to the enzyme class of drugs
Why is Rasbelon administered intravenously?
The order in which cancer chemotherapy and Rasbelon dosages are given is crucial. Chemotherapy is normally started four to twenty-four hours after the first rasburicase dose. In addition to the medication, fluids are injected into your vein to help lower your uric acid levels.
How quickly does Rasbelon work?
Fever, neutropenia with fever, respiratory distress, sepsis, mucositis, and mucositis were some of the other significant side effects. Rasbelon can lead to antibody formation. Antibodies can take anywhere from one to six weeks to be detected after they’ve been given.
Why is Rasbelon not used for gout?

Blood samples for uric acid measurement should be obtained in pre-chilled heparinized tubes and promptly placed in ice for transportation to the laboratory if a patient is receiving Rasbelon. In a perfect world, specimens would be centrifuged in a refrigerator.
Why is Rasbelon contraindicated in G6PD deficiency?
After the last dose of Rasbelon is provided, these uric acid specimen collection procedures must be followed for 96 hours.
