Tranexamic Acid Injection 500mg/5ml Tranexacan

In patients with haemophilia, Tranexamic Acid Injection is used to control or avoid excessive or significant bleeding during dental treatments. An antifibrinolytic substance is tranexamic acid injection. It functions by preventing the disintegration of blood clots. Your doctor may decide to use it for other conditions as well.

Before making a skin incision, 15 mg/kg of tranexamic acid must be administered, and then another 15 mg/kg bolus must be given every 8 hours after that. The final bolus dose should be given 16 hours following the first dose. Unless there is proof of renal failure, there is no need to reduce the dosage.

Every six to eight hours, administer 1 g of tranexamic acid through gradual intravenous injection (1 ml/minute), which is equivalent to 15 mg/kg BW. In patients with hepatic impairment, there is no need to alter the dose.

The full impact of the medication can take up to 24 hours. Usually, bleeding is treated for a brief period of time with Tranexamic Acid Injection. When treating bleeding that won’t stop on its own, this medication is often taken for 4 days for heavy periods and for 7 days for other types of bleeding.

Tranexamic acid decreased the amount of menstrual bleeding by 40 to 65 percent in clinical tests of premenopausal women with cyclic heavy menstrual bleeding (40 percent of whom also had uterine fibroids).

The administration of tranexamic acid stops or lessens severe bleeding. Your body creates clots to stop bleeding when you bleed. These clots can dissolve in some people, causing the bleeding to continue. By preventing the clots from dissolving, tranexamic acid prevents unintentional bleeding.
