Zidime CV 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. The two active components in it are clavulanic acid and cefixime. Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, causing cell death. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from becoming resistant to cefixime by inactivating the beta-lactamase enzyme produced by some bacteria.
