What is vinorelbine made from?

Vinorelbine is a type of chemotherapeutic medication known as a plant alkaloid. Alkaloids derived from plants are known as plant alkaloids. The periwinkle plant produces vinca alkaloids (Catharanthus rosea). The taxanes are manufactured from the Pacific Yew tree’s bark.

How often is Relbovin given?

Oral Relbovin should be taken at a dose of 60 mg/m(2) weekly for the first three weeks (cycle 1) and then 80 mg/m(2) weekly after that. If severe neutropenia develops during the first cycle, therapy is continued with 60 mg/m weekly dosages.

What are the side effects of Relbovin?

• diarrhoea,
• disorientation,
• muscular aches,
• joint pain,
• discomfort at the injection site. Notify your doctor or pharmacist right once if any of these side effects persist or worsen. It’s possible that you’ll experience temporary hair loss. After the procedure, normal hair growth should resume.

How do you take Relbovin?

With a glass of water and some meal, swallow Relbovin pills whole (not sucked or chewed). They should not be taken with a hot beverage since the capsules may disintegrate in the mouth. The capsules must be kept in the refrigerator.

Does Relbovin cause constipation?

This medicine can produce severe constipation, which can lead to death from bowel blockage, intestinal rips, or gut tissue death. If you have constipation, rectal pain, or rectum bleeding, call your doctor straight away. If the medicine spills from the vein, it may cause tissue injury.
