What is Velpatasvir and Sofosbuvir used for?
A combined antiviral drug called sofosbuvir and velpatasvir is used to treat chronic hepatitis C in adults and children who are at least 6 years old and weigh at least 37 pounds (17 kilograms).

Velpatasvir belongs to the HCV NS5A replication complex inhibitors class of antiviral drugs. The drugs sofosbuvir and velpatasvir work together to prevent the hepatitis C virus from spreading inside the body.
What medicines should not be taken with Velpaclear?
efavirenz, rifamycins (such as rifampin, rifabutin), St. John’s wort, tipranavir/ritonavir, and seizure medications (such as phenobarbital, carbamazepine, phenytoin, primidone) are just a few examples. This drug should not be taken with any other products that include sofosbuvir.
What are the side effects of Velpaclear?
If any of the following side effects develop while taking sofosbuvir / velpatasvir, contact your doctor right away:

- A rash on the skin, occasionally accompanying blisters or hive-like swelling.

How long do you take Velpaclear?
For oral administration (tablets): Infection with the hepatitis C virus: Adults should take one pill once a day for 12 weeks. Sofosbuvir 400 mg are found in each pill.
