What is the purpose of Topotecan Injection?
After earlier treatments have failed, Topotecan Injection is used to treat individuals with metastatic cancer (cancer that has already spread) of the ovaries. This medication is also used to treat small cell lung cancer, which is a form of lung cancer.
What is the efficacy of Topotec?
The data revealed a 9 percent complete response rate, a 30% partial response rate, and a 49 percent stable illness rate. Topotecan is given in a couple of ways?
Topotecan Injection is prescribed at a dose of 1.5 mg/m2 body surface area per day, given as an intravenous infusion over 30 minutes daily for 5 days in a row, with a 3-week gap between courses. Treatment can be continued until the disease progresses if it is well tolerated
