An alpha agonist is Brimolol Eye Drop. It helps the flow of fluids out of the eye by lowering the creation of fluids within the eye. Timolol is a beta-blocker medication. It lowers eye pressure by reducing the amount of fluid in the eye by blocking beta receptors in the eye.

Brimonidine tartrate 0.2 percent and timolol maleate 0.5 percent (FCBT) is a fixed combination of a highly selective 2-adrenergic agonist (brimonidine) and a non-selective -blocker (timolol). FCBT improves uveoscleral outflow and lowers aqueous output.

You should not take any other beta-blockers while taking Combigan because it contains a beta-blocker (timolol). Because both medications have the same mechanism of action, they may raise the risk of low blood pressure.
