The clot-busting medication tissue plasminogen activator is the only therapy for acute stroke that has been clinically validated and received FDA approval to date (tPA). Tenecteplase (TNK), a more recent clot-busting medication, has chemical characteristics that may make it a safer and more efficient medication for treating stroke.
How should a stroke patient receive Tenecteplase Injection?
