What is Pomalidomide 1mg Tablet used for?

Pomalidomide 1mg Tablet is an anti-cancer drug (cancer medicine). Pomalidomide is used to treat AIDS-related Kaposi sarcoma in individuals who have failed to respond to high-dose antiretroviral therapy (HAART). This medication is also used to treat Kaposi sarcoma in people who aren’t HIV positive (HIV-negative).

When should I take pomalidomide?

Pomalidomide pills are used once a day. Dexamethasone is taken in the morning after breakfast.

What does Pomalyst treat?

POMALYST is a prescription medicine used in combination with dexamethasone to treat adults with multiple myeloma who have previously received at least two medicines to treat multiple myeloma, including a proteasome inhibitor and lenalidomide, and whose disease has worsened during treatment or within 60 days of finishing treatment.

Is Pomalyst oral?

Take this medication by mouth, with or without food, as advised by your doctor, once daily for 21 days and then cease for 7 days. This is the end of one therapy cycle. As advised by your doctor, continue to take the medication in this manner. With water, swallow the capsules whole.

Does POMALYST cause back pain?

• diarrhoea,
• constipation;
• cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat; back pain; or feeling short of breath.

How is pomalidomide administered?

On an empty stomach, pomalidomide should be taken (at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after a meal). If missed doses are taken within 12 hours of the typical pomalidomide dosing period, they can be given.

Is it true that Pomalyst causes hair loss?
