What is Glucosamine sulphate 500 mg used for?

Glucosamine sulphate 500 mg is a popular vitamin that may help patients with osteoarthritis feel better. When cartilage breaks down, osteoarthritis develops. This may result in joint pain.

Is 500 mg of Cartigen sufficient?

Cartigen should be taken three times a day, with meals. With each meal, the amount is usually 300–500 mg, for a total daily dose of 900–1,500 mg. The majority of trials employed a daily dose of 1,500 mg. The “Rotta formulation” or glucosamine sulphate salts only need to be taken once a day.

What are the side effects of Cartigen?

Bloating, nausea, diarrhoea, and constipation are some of the moderate adverse effects of glucosamine. When used on the skin, When used for up to 10 weeks, N-acetyl glucosamine appears to be safe.

Does Cartigen really work?

There were no studies that indicated Cartigen to be significantly more helpful than a placebo in alleviating all of the key osteoarthritis symptoms (pain, disability and joint stiffness).
