What is the purpose of Fulvestrant 250ml Injection?
Fulvestrant Injection are administered to postmenopausal women who have advanced breast cancer that expresses the hormone receptor (HR) but does not express the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2).
Fulvestrant is injected where?
A muscle in the buttocks will be slowly injected with fulvestrant over the course of 1 to 2 minutes. In a medical office, a doctor or nurse administers fulvestrant. For the first three doses (days 1, 15, and 29), it is typically administered once every two weeks, and then once a month after that.
Fulvestrant: a type of chemotherapy?
Faslodex (fulvestrant), a hormonal medication meant to block oestrogen receptors in the body that can feed breast cancer, is not regarded as a type of chemotherapy. Faslodex is used either alone or in conjunction with other drugs to treat female breast cancer.
