Consequently, you have a lower risk of developing HIV consequences (such as new infections or cancer), and your overall quality of life has increased. NNRTIs (non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors) are a class of medications that include Efamat (NNRTIs).

Why is Efavirenz Efamat taken at night?

Efamat is provided once a day, and it is usually administered in the evening due to the negative effects it has on the central nervous system.

Why is Efamat taken on an empty stomach?

Take Efamat one hour before a meal or wait until two hours after you’ve eaten to ensure that your stomach is completely empty before taking the medication.
