Doxorubicin Hydrochloride 2mg Injection is used to treat cancers of the blood, lymph system, bladder, breast, stomach, lungs, ovaries, thyroid, nerves, kidneys, bones, and soft tissues, such as muscles and tendons, in combination with other medications. It may also be used to treat other types of cancer, depending on your doctor’s recommendation.

Doxorubicin must not be given orally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intrathecally; it must be given intravenously and intravesically. Doxorubicin can be given intravenously as a bolus in a matter of minutes, as a brief infusion lasting up to an hour, or as a continuous infusion lasting up to 96 hours.

Blepharospasm, keratitis, and reduced visual acuity were all observed once in patients treated with doxorubicin-containing combination chemotherapy regimens. When the medicine was stopped, these effects usually went away quickly. Accidental doxorubicin ocular exposure was usually followed by conjunctivitis.
