Why is Durart-R used as a booster?

The medicine, on the other hand, is suggested as a supplement to existing protease inhibitors. This is because ritonavir prevents the CYP3A4 pathway in the liver from metabolizing other protease inhibitors. As a result, these medications have larger blood concentrations and are cleared from the body at a slower rate.
