What is the purpose of enoxaparin?
Patients who are bedridden or undergoing hip, knee, or stomach surgery can use enoxaparin to avoid blood clots in their legs. To avoid complications from angina (chest discomfort) and heart attacks, it is used with aspirin.
How often do you take enoxaparin each day?
Adults: 30 mg intravenously given every 12 hours for 7 to 10 days. For hip replacement surgery, an alternative dosage is 40 mg administered subcutaneously once each day for three weeks. Children: The dosage and use should be decided by your doctor.
What are the side effects of Enoxaparin Sodium Injection?
