Imipenem and Cilastatin Injection 1g I Nem

Imipenem and Cilastatin Injection powerful antibiotic combinations used to treat severe bacterial infections. It contains 500 mg of imipenem and 500 mg of cilastatin.

• Imipenem: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.
• Cilastatin: Prevents degradation of Imipenem in the kidneys.

• Respiratory tract infections

• Septicemia
• Bone and joint infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Endocarditis

Dose: Usually 500 mg intravenously every 6-8 hours. Adjust for renal impairment.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to components or other beta-lactam antibiotics.

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, injection site reactions.
• Serious: Seizures, allergic reactions, pseudomembranous colitis.

Storage: Refrigerate at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze.
