Consium Carmustine 100mg Injection

Carmustine 100 mg Injection are used to treat certain forms of brain tumors. Carmustine injection is also used to treat multiple myeloma in combination with prednisone (a type of cancer of the bone marrow).

In previously untreated individuals, a single dosage of 150 to 200 mg/m2 intravenously every 6 weeks is advised. Apply as a single dose or in two daily injections of 75 to 100 mg/m2 on two consecutive days.

Carmustine is normally given at least 6 weeks apart due to the delayed and cumulative myelosuppressive effects. Repeat sessions of carmustine, on the other hand, should not be given until leukocyte and platelet counts have returned to normal.

• Carmustine, especially at high doses, can cause significant pneumonitis and pulmonary fibrosis (a scarring and stiffening of the lung tissue).
• These issues can appear months or years after therapy is ended, and they are more likely in patients who already have a lung ailment.
