What is the purpose of Paclitaxel 100mg Injection Intaxel?

Paclitaxel 100mg Injection Intaxel (in conjunction with polyoxyethylated castor oil) is used to treat breast cancer, ovarian cancer (cancer that develops in the female reproductive organs where eggs are produced), and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Why is paclitaxel administered on a weekly basis?

The argument for dose-dense weekly paclitaxel in the treatment of breast cancer is that by exposing dividing tumor cells to cytotoxic medicines more frequently, more frequent distribution of more moderate dosages may achieve more efficacy than bigger doses given less frequently.

What are the paclitaxel side effects?
