Why is Meropenem Injection Merpy used?

Meropenem Injection Merpy are used to treat bacterial infections.It works by either getting rid of the bacteria or stopping their growth. Colds, the flu, or other viral infections cannot be treated with this medication. Only your doctor or someone who works directly for them should administer this medication.

How is Meropenem IV 1g administered?

Usually, meropenem is given intravenously over a 15- to 30-minute period as an infusion (see sections 6.2, 6.3 and 6.6). An alternative would be to provide intravenous bolus doses over the course of around 5 minutes, up to 1 g.
